■ Story
Six years have passed since the summer adventure when Yagami Taichi and the other "DigiDestined" journeyed to the Digital World, an alternate dimension.
And three years have passed since the final battle between Yagami Hikari and VenomMyotismon.
As peaceful days continue, the gate to the Digital World has closed without anyone knowing why.
The DigiDestined are unaware of the cause, and time simply passes—
Then one day, Kuwagamon suddenly appears in the city of Odaiba. The city is destroyed by its rampage, throwing people into chaos.
Taichi, who happens to see Kuwagamon, chases after it alone to stop its rampage.
However, Taichi confronts Kuwagamon but is unable to do anything.
"No... I can't do anything alone..."
At the moment Kuwagamon attacks Taichi with a roar, the Digivice begins to emit a bright light—
"Taichi, you've gotten so big!"
With that nostalgic voice, the story begins to move forward once again.
