Aiming for high initial performance to last a long time, it was refined with the "HYPERDRIVE DESIGN" philosophy, which significantly raised the level of all basic performance. Notable are the evolution of the robust housing and clutch durability, and the innovation in drag performance. The housing uses HYPER ARMED HOUSING (FULL AL), which thoroughly eliminates rattling with high precision through aluminum machine cutting, achieving overwhelming robustness despite its compact size. The drag boasts class-leading performance by reviewing the practical operating range for each size. Clutch durability was set as an absolute requirement, providing the endurance to continue operating even in harsh environments. Depth perception is clear with the IC counter display, and comfort is improved with the depth alarm function.

HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR

A newly designed gear system for baitcasting (dual-axis) reels that pursues continuous strong and smooth rotation. DAIWA's unique technology that achieves an increased engagement rate without reducing the module (size) of the gear teeth, which directly affects durability, ensuring that initial smoothness lasts for a long time.


HYPER DOUBLE SUPPORT

A drive support system that achieves sustained smoothness and winding strength/lightness. By supporting both ends of the pinion gear with high precision using two ball bearings, input from the handle is not attenuated, allowing for powerful and light winding even under load.


HYPER ARMED HOUSING (FULL AL)

Refers to a housing system that firmly supports the internal structure with high rigidity and high precision, producing a precise winding feel and high power. The requirement is to use metal material for the frame. Furthermore, the SALTIGA IC adopts an aluminum alloy. It undergoes full cutting using a machine-cut manufacturing method unique to round types, achieving robust and incomparable high rigidity.


HYPER TOUGH CLUTCH

A clutch system that not only features sharp on/off performance that continues to slide thousands or tens of thousands of times but also has extremely few troubles even in high-salinity seawater areas. It boasts a state-of-the-art insulation structure that has already achieved a 99% reduction in sticking repair cases in harsh salt scenes compared to our previous models.

Synchro Level Wind

Synchro Level Wind is a mechanism where the level wind synchronizes with the line position and follows left and right when releasing the line. The benefit is low resistance during line release. It also improves smoothness during drag operation. Furthermore, in the SALTIGA IC, a structural reform of the synchro mechanism was implemented. To achieve the "compact" design concept of the SALTIGA IC, the synchro structure, which was previously taken for granted as being mounted on the palming plate side, was redesigned to be relocated to the handle side.


Self-battery replacement possible
