A small electric reel that demands lightweight, compactness, and high power, thoroughly pursuing comfortable operation. The weight reduction to 560g makes it comfortable to hold, and its lightness leads to better sensitivity. The torque and instant power are achieved with the MAGMAX motor, and basic performance is enhanced with smooth and continuous ATD, resulting in a significant power upgrade. For operability, an ergonomic aluminum JOG power lever is adopted, allowing operation with just the thumb of the hand holding the rod, freeing the other hand from lever operation. When gripping the rod, the thumb naturally rests on the upper part of the body, making it ergonomically sound. The "JOG Power Lever" enables free and precise operation with just the thumb.

Despite being made with an aluminum frame that excels in rigidity and heat dissipation, the weight has been successfully reduced by 75g compared to previous models, to 560g. This lightness provides comfort during handheld operation and enhances the angler's concentration. As a result, sensitivity at the fingertips is improved, transmitting through the rod and line. This allows anglers to catch even the slightest signals from underwater, enabling them to catch fish that previously could not be caught. That is the Light Monster.

JOG Power Lever

By moving the power lever to the center of the body and changing its shape from a lever to a jog dial style, winding and clutch on/off can be operated with just the thumb of the hand holding the rod, completely freeing the other hand from operation. When gripping the rod, the thumb naturally rests on the upper part of the body, making it ergonomically comfortable. The "JOG Power Lever" allows for free and precise operation with just the thumb.

Fall brake dial

The "Fall Brake Dial" allows instant setting of the fall speed of the rig. Made of aluminum, it enables delicate operation even with wet fingertips. In drop shot fishing, it stabilizes the fall, improving bait attachment during descent, and in squid fishing, it helps catch the squid's bites in mid-water reactions.


Dot LCD

A large-character display with excellent visibility in the field, using a dot LCD that remains clear even under direct sunlight with polarized glasses. Equipped with convenient functions such as line input procedures and switching between Japanese and English. Clear menu announcements and no manual needed for various settings. To access the menu screen, press "PICKUP" and "MEMO" simultaneously for 2 seconds.


Magshield ball bearing

Daiwa's original waterproof and durable structure that creates a magnetic oil wall to block intrusion of seawater, dust, etc., maintaining smooth initial rotation performance over a long period. This technology is applied to the ball bearings, which are critical for rotation performance, with "Magshield Ball Bearings" used in the spool shaft bearing area, which is most prone to salt gumming and difficult maintenance. It maintains spool free performance and winding force, ensuring comfortable initial performance over a long period.


Magmite structure & FF structure

The Magmite structure maximizes motor power within the limited space inside the electric reel. It achieves maximum power and speed in a small space, improves motor cooling, and contributes to further motor efficiency. By placing the motor in front of the spool, the reel is designed with a low profile, making it easier to hold and use. Additionally, a level wind is placed between the motor and spool for further compactness.
