To prevent twisting during casting, action, hooking, and fighting, Daiwa's long-term research concluded that in addition to the conventional structure (0° and 90° relative to the tip of the rod), wrapping a bias cross (at 45°) with carbon fibers is appropriate. HVF Carbon
