The airtightness is improved by a screwless monocoque body with no gaps, and the adoption of magnetic shield pinion reduces water ingress into the body, significantly enhancing waterproof level.

Smooth anti-reverse

The monocoque body also improves the rotational performance during rotor reverse in LB reels. Supports the spool shaft with higher precision, reducing wobble during reverse. The silky rotation remains the same during reverse, and the smooth anti-reverse performance surpasses one-way oscillation.

Drive gear material

MONOCOQUE BODY

Traditional spinning reels support the drive gear ends with the body and body cover, fixed by several screws. To improve precision and rigidity further, the body cover was eliminated, and a high-precision plate was directly screwed into the body, creating a monocoque body. This increases gear support accuracy, rigidity, and airtightness. Additionally, space previously occupied by screws was utilized to maximize the size of the drive gear.

MAGSEALED

Daiwa's unique waterproof structure creates a magnetic oil wall between the body and rotor to block intrusion of seawater and dust. Since the body and rotor are contactless, rotation remains smooth and light, maintaining initial rotational performance over a long period.

ZAION

A carbon resin woven with high-density carbon fibers, lightweight, strong, and highly resistant to corrosion. It surpasses magnesium in specific strength, making it an impossible material possible. Used in main parts like the body and rotor, contributing to high rigidity and light weight.
