A compact and robust new size has appeared in the coastal jigging bait series. To respond to the harsh offshore jigging scenes such as large bluefish, rockfish, and deep-sea fishing, SALTIGA 10 was designed to be as compact and durable as possible. Basic performance is enhanced with HYPERDRIVE DESIGN, covering the demanding coastal jigging scenes. The SALTIGA 10 successfully reduces size significantly while maintaining line capacity of PE 1.5号-650m / 3号-300m. The gear size is the same as the 15 series, with a maximum drag force of 11 kg at gear ratio 6.3 and 9 kg at gear ratio 7.1. It is a size that is easy to grip and reduces fatigue, yet capable of overpowering targets forcefully.

HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR

A new gear system design in bait (dual-axis) reels that pursues sustained strong and smooth rotation. The gear module (size) that directly affects durability is kept small to improve mesh ratio, enabling long-lasting initial smoothness. This is Daiwa's proprietary technology.

HYPER DOUBLE SUPPORT

A drive support system that achieves sustained smoothness and strong, lightweight winding. By supporting both ends of the pinion gear with two ball bearings with high precision, input from the handle is not dampened, allowing powerful and smooth winding even under load.

HYPER ARMED HOUSING AL

A housing system that supports internal structures with high rigidity and high precision, producing a refined winding feel and power. Using metal materials for the essential frame is a prerequisite, and in combination with side plates and set plates, it allows the basic performance to be maintained over a long period. Thumb holding frame

A design concept shift from gripping to finger hooking. Analyzing various angler grip styles, a shape that fits comfortably in the hand was pursued. Developed a thumb hold frame with a thumb rest position that makes thumb slipping less likely and easier to thumb the clutch off. Considering thumb position after turning off the clutch, it greatly improves comfort. It offers a completely new feel of gripping, greatly changing the traditional concept of holding.

Anode protection

"Unrustable, extraordinary durability." Anode protection is a technology that mitigates metal corrosion. Also called sacrificial anode, it involves zinc (anode) corroding instead of the metal. φ48mm large-diameter spool

"Designed for coastal bait jigging, with a smaller spool size" A Φ48mm spool, even smaller than the 15 series. It can hold PE 1.5号-600m / PE 2号-450m / PE 3号-300m. The spool shape is similar to the 15 size, optimized for line release and balanced to minimize changes in winding speed. Spool exchangeable

Spool lock mechanism
