This is a convenient silicone mold compatible with natural air-drying clay, oven-bake clay, UV resin, and two-part mixed resins (epoxy resin).
It allows you to create realistic miniature fried egg motifs in two different shapes, each available in six sizes. You will need to remove the yolk and white separately and then assemble them to complete the egg.
【Important Notes Regarding This Design Mold】
■ Epoxy Resin → Since it does not produce a mirror finish, the surface will appear cloudy after curing and removal. Polishing with an abrasive will make it more transparent.
～ To achieve a more mirror-like finish ～
Spray a release agent onto the mold initially, use two-part mixed resin, and after curing and removing from the mold, polish with a soft cloth containing polishing compound. For a smoother finish, reapply the release spray and wipe lightly to achieve a cleaner surface.
■ UV Resin → Since it does not produce a mirror finish, the surface will appear cloudy after curing and removal. Applying UV resin or gloss varnish twice to coat the surface will result in a more polished appearance.
The suitability of polishing agents depends on the UV resin used.
To eliminate bubbles, use a craft stick or similar tool to pop them. If bubbles form, applying resin into the mold’s grooves with a stiff brush before pouring the main resin can help reduce bubble formation.
Additionally, warming the filled mold with a hairdryer or embossing heater before curing can help prevent wrinkles and bubbles.
※ Not suitable for use with silicone-based materials.
※ For materials other than air-drying clay, there are limits to durability due to chemical changes.
