This is a convenient silicone mold that can be used with air-dry clays such as resin clay, oven-bake clays, UV resin, and 2-part epoxy resins that harden through chemical reactions. You can create authentic miniature small bowl motifs. For a ceramic-like finish, we recommend using clay.
Ideal for combining with miniature sweets, miniature bread, miniature food, and dollhouses.
[How to Use][Notes on this design mold]
■Epoxy → Since it is not a mirror finish, it will be cloudy when removed after curing. Polishing with an abrasive will result in a clearer finish.
~ To achieve a more mirror-like finish ~
First, spray the mold with release agent spray, use a 2-part mixed resin, and after removing it after curing, polish it with a soft cloth and abrasive. Finally, spray again with release agent spray and lightly wipe to achieve a cleaner surface.
■UV Resin → Since it is not a mirror finish, it will be cloudy when removed after curing. A beautiful finish can be achieved by applying UV resin or gloss varnish twice to coat the surface. Whether or not abrasives can be used depends on the UV resin you are using.
For air bubbles, poke them with a tool to pop them. If air bubbles occur, it is less likely to get them by applying resin to the grooves of the mold with a stiff brush or similar tool before pouring the resin. Also, by warming the mold with a hairdryer or embossing heater after filling it with resin and before curing, wrinkles and air bubbles are less likely to form.
