This mold can be used with materials that cure through chemical changes, including air-dried clay, oven-bake clay, silver clay, UV gel, resin, acrylic powder, and polyurethane foam, as well as those that harden via chemical reactions.
Simply fill the mold with clay or similar materials and remove to easily create cute goldfish parts. Since the mold transmits ultraviolet light, it can also be used with UV-cured materials.
【Important Notes Regarding This Design Mold】
■ Epoxy → Since it does not produce a mirror finish, the surface will appear cloudy after curing and removal. Polishing with an abrasive will make it more transparent.
～ To achieve a more mirror-like finish ～
First, spray a release agent onto the mold, use a two-part mixed resin, and after curing and removing from the mold, polish with a soft cloth containing polishing compound. For a smoother finish, spray the release agent again and wipe lightly to achieve a cleaner surface.
■ UV Resin → Since it does not produce a mirror finish, the surface will appear cloudy after curing and removal. Applying UV resin or gloss varnish twice to coat the surface can produce a more polished appearance.
Whether polishing is possible depends on the specific UV resin used.
To eliminate bubbles, use a thin stick or similar tool to pop them. If bubbles tend to form, applying resin into the mold's grooves with a firm brush before pouring the main resin can help reduce bubble formation.
■ Silicone Material → Cannot be used as it will dissolve during curing.
