【Synopsis】
A man of conviction who faced off against the power-hungry dictator who staged the coup.
Gunfire echoed through Seoul. What truly happened during that night’s battle?
On October 26, 1979, the President of the Republic of Korea, often called a dictator, was assassinated by his close aides.
The shock spread nationwide, and the voices of citizens hoping for democratization grew louder day by day.
However, Choi Doo-kwan, the head of the joint investigation team for the assassination (played by Jung-min Hwang), led officers from the secret military organization "Hana Society," aiming to establish a new dictatorship, and carried out the coup on December 12 of the same year.
Meanwhile, Lee Teshin, the highly respected commander of the Seoul Defense Command (played by Woo-sung Choi), in an overwhelmingly unfavorable situation where Hana Society members were embedded among his subordinates, rises to stop the reckless actions of "rebel" Choi Doo-kwan based on his own military conviction.
