"That time, I died, and I was born." Based on the popular mystery novel by Tetsuya Honda, the special drama "Strawberry Night" was broadcast on Saturday Premium on November 13, 2010 (Saturday). Yuko Takeuchi made her first challenge as a detective, and the work, which became a topic of conversation for its shocking content, was broadcast as a serial drama in the January 2012 season. The story unfolds by excerpting episodes from "Symmetry," "Soul Cage," and "Infection Game" (published by Kobunsha Bunko), which are original works in the Himekawa Reiko series following "Strawberry Night." It deeply depicts not only the breathless suspense-filled story but also the worries, sorrows, and conflicts of the characters. Starring Yuko Takeuchi as Himekawa Reiko, who expresses her dignified strength, occasional gentleness, and fragility with overwhelming presence, the cast includes Tetsuya Takeda as rival detective "Gantetsu" (Assistant Inspector Kensaku Katsumata), Hidetoshi Nishijima (Sergeant Kikuta Kazuo) and Tsuyoshi Ukaji (Sergeant Ishikura Tamotsu) as subordinates supporting Himekawa Reiko, and a豪華 cast including Masahisa Sano (Sergeant Ioka Hiromitsu), Masahiro Takashima (Inspector Imaizumi Haruo), Kenichi Endo (Assistant Inspector Kusaka Mamoru), Ikkei Watanabe (Superintendent Hashizume Shunsuke), and Masahiko Tsugawa (Medical Examiner Okutsu Sadanosuke) have reunited. Furthermore, new cast members join as detectives of the Himekawa team, including Keisuke Koide (Sergeant Hayama Noriyuki) and Ryuhei Maruyama (Sergeant Yuda Kohei).
