Spiral X is a three-layer structure with carbon tape diagonally wound in opposite directions on the inner and outer layers of the rod's longitudinal fibers. The diagonal fibers on the inside and outside maintain lightness while achieving high torsional and crush resistance. Instant power transfer during fishing actions like casting and fighting improves, maintaining lightness and increasing the fundamental strength to catch fish, which is Shimano's original 'basic structure.'
High Power X
A reinforced structure that further suppresses twisting during casting and fighting. It features wrapping carbon tape in an X-shape over the outermost layer of Spiral X or over the cross-structured carbon sheet.
