Spiral X
Overcomes twisting and crushing, fundamentally enhancing rod performance.
Spiral X is a three-layer structure with carbon tape diagonally wound in opposite directions on the inner and outer layers of the rod’s vertical fibers. The diagonal fibers maintain lightness while achieving high torsional and crush resistance. Instant power transfer during casting and fighting improves, maintaining lightness and increasing the fundamental strength for catching fish, which is Shimano’s original “basic structure.”
High Power X
A reinforced structure that further suppresses twisting during casting and fighting. It features wrapping carbon tape in an X-shape over the outermost layer of Spiral X or over the cross-structured carbon sheet. This ensures the rod’s bend retains the angler’s intended direction, fully demonstrating the blank’s inherent performance.
Tough Tech
By revising the material composition and manufacturing process, a carbon solid tip with unprecedented strength is achieved. It features higher sensitivity and stiffness compared to Tough Tech α.
