Engetsu BB ENGETSU BB

Following the concept of the Engetsu series, the model Engetsu BB further improves fishing performance. The main blank uses Hyper Power X, which suppresses rod bending and power loss, and the tip is equipped with high-strength, flexible carbon solid, Toughtech α (bait rod). To enhance basic performance, the bait rod features an X-Seat Dual Gungrip designed for comfortable grip. The gungrip shape allows the wrist to stay nearly straight, enabling stable reeling and fighting, and reducing fatigue.

The Engetsu BB is designed with cost performance in mind, making it easy for entry users to handle. However, its actual fishing performance is high, following Shimano’s traditional sea bream lure rod length, action, and power. The inclusion of the X-Seat Dual Gungrip significantly enhances the potential of the Engetsu BB.

This grip concept, inherited from high-end models previously used mainly in X-Seat Extreme Gungrip, features a symmetrical design. It fits the palm regardless of dominant hand, providing stability and reducing wrist strain. The straight wrist position reduces fatigue, allowing even beginners to fish for long periods.
