Engetsu BB

Inheriting the concept of the Engetsu series, the Engetsu BB model further improves fishing performance. The main blank uses Hyper Power X to reduce rod bending and power loss, and the tip features high-strength, flexible carbon solid and Toughtech α (bait rod). To enhance basic performance, the bait rod adopts the X-Seat Dual Gungrip, which pursues grip comfort. The Gungrip shape allows you to hold the rod with your wrist nearly straight, enabling stable reeling and fighting, and reducing fatigue.

Hyper Power X

The Engetsu BB is designed with cost performance in mind, making it easy for entry users to handle. However, its actual fishing performance is high, following Shimano’s traditional sea bream lure rod length, action, and power. The inclusion of the X-Seat Dual Gungrip significantly enhances the potential of the Engetsu BB.

This grip concept, inherited from high-end models previously used in X-Seat Extreme Gungrip, features a symmetrical design. It fits naturally in the palm regardless of dominant hand, stabilizes the hand position, and reduces wrist strain. Because the wrist is kept nearly straight, it allows for long fishing sessions even for beginners.

Furthermore, it is easy to grip comfortably and apply force, supporting stable reeling and uniform winding without wobble. When hooking or fighting, a firm grip provides many advantages.
