Spiral X
Overcomes twisting and crushing, fundamentally enhancing rod performance.
Spiral X is a three-layer structure with carbon tape diagonally wound in opposite directions on the inner and outer layers of the rod's vertical fibers. The diagonal fibers on the inside and outside maintain lightness while achieving high torsional and crush resistance. Instant power transfer during casting and fighting improves, maintaining lightness and increasing the rod's fundamental ability to 'capture.' This is Shimano's original 'basic structure.'
High Power X
A reinforced structure that further suppresses twisting during casting and fighting. It features carbon tape tightened in an X-shape over the outermost layer of Spiral X or over the cross-structured carbon sheet. This ensures the rod's bend retains the angler's intended direction and fully demonstrates the blank's inherent performance.
