Engetsu BB is an easy-to-handle entry model suitable for beginners, yet equipped with sufficient features as a dedicated Tairaba reel. It features the HAGANE body for the first time in this class. It enhances rigidity while evolving into a compact body shape that is easy for anyone to grip. Additionally, the level wind linkage function allows for smoother line release during falls and drag operation. It leverages the advantages of thin lines, a strength of Tairaba, and can handle large red sea breams. Not only is winding light, but the PG model reduces winding wobble, making it ideal as a first reel, while the HG model emphasizes sensitivity.
High-rigidity HAGANE body and easy-to-grip low-profile design.
Using lightweight yet highly rigid aluminum for the frame, it effectively suppresses reel deformation, distortion, and twisting. It maintains delicate gear engagement and allows smooth reeling. Suitable for high-load fishing such as trolling, offshore, and heavy Tairaba. Compared to the previous model, it has a 1.6mm lower profile, enabling a firm grip even under high load. Especially suitable for small hands of children and women, with a body shape that is easy to handle.

X-Protect
Unbreakable waterproof system.
Water ingress is strongly guarded by combining waterproof walls and special water-repellent grease, protecting the drive gear shaft spool-side bearing.
SA-RB
Bearings treated with special anti-rust processing have greatly increased durability against rust. SA-RB further seals the sides with anti-rust material, significantly reducing salt crystallization inside the bearing and salt gumming.
