Mono, who loves her older sister very much, learns that her sister is being held in the "Other Book Library" as a patient with the contagious disease "Shinigami Disease."
There is no cure for "Shinigami Disease," and patients will eventually turn into paper monsters.
"To think that my sister will become a monster... I don't want that, I don't want that at all!"
To save her sister, Mono makes a contract with the monster Mēru, who lives in the Other Book Library, and proceeds into the world inside the picture book...
"Shinigami Princess and the Monster of the Other Book Library" is a 2D adventure game with the theme of "breakable picture books," depicting the story of rescuing girls who have transformed into grotesque forms due to "Shinigami Disease" and carry trauma.
Players enter the world of the picture book together with Mono and follow the stories of the "Shinigami Princesses" waiting in each stage.
This dark fairy tale fantasy portrays emotional exchanges and salvation with characters who have cruel pasts.
The character design and worldview are created by Sayaka Oda, as in previous picture book series, and the scenario is handled by Kento Joka, who has worked on stories for titles such as "Disgaea 7" and "Bar Stella Abyss."
