This is the second omnibus album following the previous work "Space Fantasy". The program mainly features Ravel's "Pavane pour une infante défunte" and "Ma mère l'Oye", from French works that have high affinity with the colorfulness of Tomita's synthesizer sound. Furthermore, Tomita's admiration for Kenji Miyazawa, which became clear with his highly acclaimed latest work "Symphony Ihatov", is also imprinted on this album. Specifically, "Okhotsk Fantasy", which depicts a fictional letter from Kenji's beloved sister Toshi to Kenji in a sound world, is placed at the beginning. In addition, "Night on the Galactic Railroad" (only released as an audio source as a supplement to TBS Britannica, this is the first CD release), which is Tomita's earliest synthesizer work and was considered a "phantom" among fans, is placed at the end of the album. In other words, the listener is immediately immersed in a sound world filled with nostalgia and longing for the northern Okhotsk, then their gaze shifts to the fantasy world of medieval France (= the deceased princess, Ma Mere l'Oye), and beyond that, to the galaxy depicted by Kenji, creating a grand concept that draws a large arc and soars into the universe. Media Reviews and More This is the second omnibus album following Isao Tomita's previous work "Space Fantasy". While featuring Ravel's "Pavane pour une infante défunte" and "Ma mère l'Oye" as the main program, from French works that have high affinity with the colorfulness of Tomita's synthesizer sound, it also includes "Okhotsk Fantasy" with Kenji Miyazawa as the motif, and the early synthesizer work "Night on the Galactic Railroad" which is released on CD for the first time. This album once again imprints Tomita's admiration for Kenji Miyazawa, which became clear with the hit work "Symphony Ihatov". (C)RS
