This is the 6th installment of the popular "Atelier" series. While inheriting the series' signature "synthesis" system and worldview, it has been reborn as an "Alchemy RPG" that surpasses previous titles by incorporating an abundance of new elements.
The key to the game is the "Mana," spirits of the natural world. The protagonist is Klein, an alchemist capable of communicating with these Mana. Throughout his adventures across the land of Aviol, the cooperation of the Mana becomes vital in every situation, including combat and item refinement.
One such feature, "Shop Synthesis," allows for the creation of over 300 types of items and materials. The customization in "Weapon Synthesis" has also become more intuitive in this entry, adding the joy of crafting your own ultimate weapon.
The combat scenes adopt a side-view perspective for the first time in the series, realizing flashy battles through 2D animation. The combination of beautiful watercolor-style background graphics and meticulously drawn pixel-art characters creates a unique worldview. Haruka Shimotsuki was selected for the opening music, which features a folk-style taste reminiscent of the vast Nordic grasslands.
