Clay Toothpaste
Clay toothpaste uses the adsorption power of clay to attract and remove dirt from teeth.
It has a mild mint flavor.
Without using abrasives or foaming agents, it safely removes dirt from teeth with the large adsorption capacity of clay.
Additionally, a thin crystalline film of clay coats the teeth, leaving them smooth and shiny.
Since it does not contain abrasives, it does not damage the enamel.
Because it does not contain foaming agents (surfactants), the taste of food remains unchanged after brushing.
It can also be used as a mouthwash to suppress bad breath and the sticky feeling inside the mouth.
Body Clay products are made from a clay mineral called "Montmorillonite."
Montmorillonite is formed when magma erupts and turns into fine volcanic ash, which deposits on the seabed. Over a long period, subjected to immense pressure from geological activity, it undergoes transformation and aging, resulting in a material derived from the Earth.
Among these, Body Clay products primarily use a very smooth, domestically produced "clay" as their main ingredient.
Adsorption and Cleaning
Montmorillonite crystals are extremely tiny, about 1/5000th the size of a millimeter, comparable to virus-sized particles, and carry a negative charge. They attract and adsorb dirt that is positively charged.
Thanks to this adsorption power and the ultra-fine crystals, dirt deep within pores and old keratin can be removed without damaging the skin or hair.
Furthermore, Body Clay products contain moisturizing ingredients.
When the moisturizing components pre-mixed with Montmorillonite come into contact with dirt, they release the moisture and bind with the dirt.
(This is due to the exchangeable cation effect.) This helps to maintain the skin's moisture balance.
