Led by the advance single "Hungry Child," which features uplifting synth sounds, Hot Chip's signature catchy melodies, vibrant UK garage-style percussion, and sweet vocals, this album showcases songs that update their career highs with synth layers that beautifully capture euphoria, sadness, and all sorts of emotions, using colorful melodies, unparalleled vocal expression, and electronic pop rhythms that make you want to move.
Furthermore, for the first time, they challenged themselves to work with external producers. The producers are French maestro Philippe Zdar, who created the captivating sound of Phoenix, and Scottish producer Rodaidh McDonald, who has worked with The xx, David Byrne, and Sampha. The artwork was handled by Turner Prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller.
