FNCY × 9m88! A new "Saturday" anthem "SATURDAYSVIBRATIONS" born from the ultimate collaboration has arrived!!
From the shining classics of rare groove history, MIGHTY RYEDERS' "Evil Vibrations" and DELASOUL's representative song "A Roller Skating Jam Named 'Saturdays'," which was sampled from it, have been miraculously merged after several decades, produced by Groove-Diggers!!
This collaboration features FNCY's Chin DOPENESS, ZEN-LA-ROCK, and G.RINA paying homage to DELASOUL's "Saturdays" through a mic relay, followed by Taiwan's songstress 9m88 performing a Japanese cover of MIGHTY RYEDERS' "Evil Vibrations" (yes!!), culminating in a massive chorus of "Ah~ Ah~" hooks that will explode the "Saturday" floor!!!!!
With P-VINE acquiring worldwide rights to MIGHTY RYEDERS' "Help Us Spread The Message," a shining record in the rare groove "ultimate" category, and with the concept of enhancing the value of P-VINE's "Groove-Diggers" series—home to one of the largest rare groove catalogs—and vinyl records, a series of releases continues. These include the latest reissue of the album (LP/CD), the release of previously unknown single versions on 7-inch, and the full-floor version of the legendary "Evil Vibrations" track on a 10-inch, as well as a remixed 7-inch by MURO, revealing the full scope of this mysterious masterpiece.
As the final form of this series, a miraculous collaboration has been realized, merging "Evil Vibrations" and the hip-hop anthem "A Roller Skating Jam Named 'Saturdays'" by DELASOUL, which was sampled from it!
This work reconstructs the sampling part of "Evil Vibrations" into a new sound, including rap and vocals by DELASOUL. Artists participating in this project include Japan's leading hip-hop group FNCY and Taiwan's most prominent jazz/neo-soul singer 9m88—an artist whose collaboration can truly be called a miracle!
DELASOUL's part features FNCY, who, as an homage, delivers a rap that energizes the weekend (Saturday) floor with the concept of "Saturday," while 9m88 sings "Evil Vibrations" with new Japanese lyrics, creating a brand-new party anthem!
