The title is derived from the "Caligula effect," which refers to the phenomenon where the more you see something you shouldn't, the more you want to see it, and the more you do something you shouldn't, the more you want to do it.
With an intense scenario centered around the keyword "idol murder," and featuring characters with "modern pathology" as the two main themes,
this unique school youth RPG "Caligula2" boasts a distinctive battle system and songs by Vocaloid producers, and is finally available in a PlayStation 5 version.

■Story
"Now, make a choice without regrets—"

A mysterious virtual idol, RIGRETTE.
The virtual world she created, "Ridu," is a place where everyone’s secretly held desire to redo their lives—"If only I had done this instead..."—becomes reality.
It is a world where you can experience such an "if" life, a warm bath of a world without regrets.

In this ideal world freed from past regrets,
the protagonists realize that this world is a lie, and with the help of another virtual idol, they form the "Return Club" to go back to the real world.
The most difficult journey home begins, confronting the creator of this ideal world.

The reality of the Return Club members is filled with horrifying and tragic situations.
"Why do they still try to return to such a painful reality?"—this is a taboo only the player can explore.
When delving into it, do so at your own responsibility, with a "choice without regrets."

The basic battle system is turn-based, but once an action is chosen, you can confirm the future where that action succeeds.
Using this effectively allows for cooperation with allies and overturning unfavorable situations.

〇 An abnormal world where songs by Vocaloid producers induce mind control
To protect the ideal world, the "Obligard Minstrels" waiting in the dungeons challenge the Return Club.
RIGRETTE’s songs are constantly played, and those enchanted by her music see the Return Club as traitors and attack.
The Return Club counters with the voice of Key.
The songs are created by Vocaloid producers active on video-sharing sites.
