Chusen is a unique Japanese dyeing technique born in Osaka during the Meiji era.

The fabric is folded like an accordion and dyed twice from both the front and back, making it a beautiful finish without distinction between front and back.
The process is extensive and entirely done by hand by artisans. Therefore, no two pieces are exactly alike.
