Izumo Wakuraba was a skilled demon hunter feared as an "Oni-koroshi" (demon slayer) within the Onmikado, but five years ago, following an incident, he abandoned everything and now apprentices himself to the Tsuruya Namboku troupe.
However, his fate is thrown into chaos by his encounter with a mysterious woman named Tsubaki.
Chased by the Onmikado for unknown reasons, Tsubaki asks him to "find out about my past."

Leading the relentless pursuit of Tsubaki by the Onmikado is Jakuu Abe, who grew up like a brother to Izumo.
Jakuu, who cunningly trapped and killed the 13th head of the Onmikado, Seimei Abe.
However, seeking even greater power, he joins forces with Bizan, a beautiful and monstrous demon, and stands in their way.
