Comics "Nodame Cantabile" × Fuji Television's Monday 9 PM Drama Big Project!!
A historic project to create the "S Orchestra" that appears in the hit comic "Nodame Cantabile" in reality. After an audition that became a hot topic online, an orchestra was formed that embodies the "young sensibility, unique musicality, characters, and a heart that loves music more than anyone else" as depicted in the comic. The secretariat and the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra recommended 70 members, and from 340 applicants in the general audition, 90 were selected, making a current total of about 160 members who are recording and appearing in the drama.
This 2-disc CD includes all the songs used in the drama, with selections from the orchestral and instrumental versions. It features the opening and ending themes, as well as completely new pieces such as the "Sonata for Two Pianos" performed by Chiaki and Nodame, and Nodame's unique Beethoven "Pathétique". All tracks are songs that actually appear in the manga, drama, and anime. It offers a luxurious experience to fully enjoy the world of "Nodame". Based on the powerful original work by manga artist Tomoko Ninomiya, and delivered with a "super" talented cast, this project was formed to bring classical music to life with unexpected humor and love, making it accessible and fun—welcome to the "Nodame Project"!
