歴史のある日本伝統の加工品「しおかつお」は、カツオを塩漬けし、乾燥させて作られる神事も兼ねた保存食です。今では生産者が少なく希少なカツオの加工品としてスローフードの「味の箱舟」にも登録されています。この商品は、当店自慢の製法、「手火山式焙乾法」で丁寧に、「しおかつお」を燻し焼きしております。鰹節よりも加工の歴史が古く、鰹節が誕生する前の旨味だしとして使われてきました。袋から出して、そのまま美味しく召し上がれますが、とても塩辛いので少量ずつ召し上がってください。。「潮かつお」は古来より伝わった加工方法により製造されており、塩外の添加物は一切使用されていません。多くの塩を使用してますので、かなり塩辛いですが、癖になる独特の美味しさや旨味だしは、他にはありません。適量（10ｇ程度〜）を荒くほぐして、ご飯にのせて「お茶漬け」や和食の隠し味として。また、チャーハン、ピザやパスタなどにも良くあいます。細かくほぐして、お塩の代わりにお使い頂いても美味しく召し上げれます。
