インディーズ時代のサニーデイ・サービスやNona Reevesの作品をリリースし、90年代の日本のネオアコースティック・シーンの重要レーベルであった[Under Flower]傘下の[Pushbike]レーベルに『Blue Dolphin』を残したAyako AkashibaとYasuhiro Kawaseによるユニット、Sunshower（サンシャワー）。リリースから20数年を経て未だに、海外のインディー・ファンからもコアな人気を誇る唯一の作品『Blue Dolphin』がRECORD STORE DAYにオフィシャル・リマスターLP復刻！
Stawberry-High-Soft、Marigold Leafでも活躍し、ドイツのMorr Musicからアルバム『Sunkissed』でデビューしたエレクトロニカ・シューゲイズ・ユニット、GUITARのヴォーカリストとしても数々の作品を残している女性アーティスト、Ayako Akashibaと当時の周辺のインディー・シーンの中でもずば抜けたセンスの持ち主であったトラックメイカーのYasuhiro Kawaseの2人組。
当時のインディー・シーンにおいて斬新なブレイクビーツ的感覚を織り交ぜたA1「Blue Dolphin」（Riow Arai氏がプログラミングを担当）、盟友であるドイツのデュオ、Donna Reginaの絶品カヴァーA4「Almaty」、シュガーコーティングされたインディー・ポップA5「For The Day」やA7「Memory」、美しいアルペジオ・ギターに導かれるSarah Recordsファンにもオススメのフォーキー・ネオアコのB1「Shining Ocean Day」、ピート・シーガーのカヴァーB2「Where Have All The Flowers Gone?」などを収録。
カセットテープのMTRでほぼ全てが一発録りに近いかたちで録音されたゆえの、奇跡的なゆらめきとセンス、アカシバアヤコの初々しいヴォーカル。90年代ネオアコースティック、インディー・ポップ史上の稀有な存在感を放つ名作。
今回の復刻にあたり、東京のテキスタイル・デザイナー、Canako Inoueによる描き下ろしのペイントをジャャケットとインサートに起用。
LP化にあたりメンバー監修により14曲をLP用に選曲し、リマスタリングを施しています。
