ヤマハ(YAMAHA)の品番345-13613-70と互換性のあるカーボンリードバルブです。
リードバルブはバイク用エンジンパーツの一つです。
吸排気のためのバルブが無い2STエンジンで、キャブからエンジンへの混合気を一方通行にする部品です。
カーボンは素材が固く、高回転時のバルブ開閉の追従性が優れており、アクセルのレスポンスが向上します。
しかし、低回転時は逆効果で、素材が硬い分、吸気する際は抵抗になってしまいます。
樹脂など柔らかめのリードバルブは低回転での開きやすさが向上し、トルクが増します。
しかし、高回転域では伸びが制限され、バルブが開きっぱなしになると吹き返しが発生しやすくなります。
リードバルブの選択は、エンジンの特性をどのようにしたいかによって変わります。
硬さの異なるリードバルブを試すことで、エンジンの特性をカスタマイズし、走行を楽しむことができます。
