This is the story of a weak young boy who achieved a miracle and hope by ending a chaotic era. It is the 62nd NHK Taiga Drama. One of the most anticipated screenwriters, Ryota Furusawa, depicts the life of the famous historical figure Tokugawa Ieyasu.
The story portrays Ieyasu, who accepted the fate of living through turbulent times and carved out a future. He is played by Jun Matsumoto, with Shinobu Terajima serving as the narrator.

**Synopsis**The protagonist, Matsudaira Motoyasu (later Tokugawa Ieyasu), accepts his fate as the ruler of a small country and plunges into the Warring States period, where monstrous figures like Oda Nobunaga and Takeda Shingen dominate.
Without backing or abundant land, he relies solely on a team of eccentric vassals. Powerful figures such as Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Masayuki Sanada, and Mitsunari Ishida appear one after another.
What awaits him is a life-or-death crisis—continuous miscalculations, the limit of endurance! What will Ieyasu do?
