HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR

A gear system design for baitcasting (dual-axis) reels pursued for continuous strong and smooth rotation. DAIWA's unique technology achieves an increased engagement rate without reducing the module (size) of the gear teeth, which directly affects durability, ensuring that initial smoothness lasts for a long time.

HYPER DOUBLE SUPPORT

A drive support system that achieves sustained smoothness and winding strength/lightness. By supporting both ends of the pinion gear with high precision using two ball bearings, input from the handle is not attenuated, enabling powerful and light winding even under load.

HYPER ARMED HOUSING (AL)

A housing system that firmly supports the internal structure with high rigidity and high precision, producing a refined winding feel and power. Using metal material for the core frame is a requirement, and in combination with the side plates and set plates, it allows basic performance to be exhibited for an even longer period. In this series, aluminum alloy is used for the frame and the gear-side side plate. It features a tough housing specification compatible with power games.

HYPER TOUGH CLUTCH

A clutch system that not only provides sharp on/off performance that continues to slide thousands or tens of thousands of times but also has extremely few troubles even in high-salinity seawater areas. It boasts a state-of-the-art insulation structure that has already brought a 99% reduction (compared to our previous models) in the number of sticking repair cases in harsh salt scenes.

130mm Aluminum Handle Arm

Focused on winding performance, the long handle has been renewed to be optimal for constant speed winding with an emphasis on sensitivity to catch changes in the current. In particular, the 130mm long handle is a special specification that eliminates winding heaviness associated with increased gear ratios. While a 65mm single handle requires technique for constant speed winding, the introduction of the 130mm long handle has made light winding and constant speed winding possible even with high gears. Furthermore, a new Power Light Knob M (Medium) has been adopted, emphasizing finger grip.

Self-battery replacement possible

Handles unexpected battery depletion. Equipped with a waterproof battery cap that is resistant to scratches. No special tools are required; it can be opened and closed instantly with just a coin, allowing for self-battery replacement. There is no need to redo the line input even if the battery is removed (CR2032 coin battery).

Centrifugal Brake

In situations where the boat does not drift, such as when there is no wind or no tide, "light undercasting" may be performed to search a wider area or to angle the line diagonally. A centrifugal brake is installed to suppress backlash as much as possible even in such scenes. Overcasting is dangerous, so please absolutely refrain from it. As the lure becomes heavier, the effect of the centrifugal brake decreases (up to around MAX 80g). Sounds may occur during retrieval or falling.

The Kohga IC 150 series of reels for Tai Rubber has evolved further. To respond to Tai Rubber scenes requiring smooth rotation performance from low to high loads, the "HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR," the core of the "HYPERDRIVE DESIGN," has been modified to improve rotation performance by increasing the gear tooth width. Additionally, it is equipped with a centrifugal brake that supports light undercasting for wider searching in situations with no wind or tide. The 26 Kohga IC 150, capable of handling a wide range of scenes, continues to lead the Tai Rubber scene. Furthermore, three types of gear ratios and handle specifications have been brushed up to handle various situations. A dedicated Tai Rubber machine packed with dedication for enjoying Tai Rubber more comfortably.
